Reeshe (Roots)
Reeshe (Roots) is a 25 track double album that Māh Ze Tār has been working on since 2017. This 3-year project was motivated by the desire to reimagine nostalgic Persian melodies from a contemporary perspective. Traditional grooves, diverse array of ethnic instruments, and compositional novelty have come together to capture the heart and mind of listeners seeking both novelty and nostalgia. This style of music can be categorized as Ethnic Electronic Music and is just the first of many musical offerings to come from the vibrant and enthusiastic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Maz Karandish. The goal of the Mah Ze Tar project is to preserve the traditional music of the East through fusing the ancient with the modern.
“Reeshe (Roots)” was exclusively released by prominent Persian music platform, Navahang. This album is now available on all major streaming platforms!
